In the first paper of this series (1, 2) it has been shown that the potential differences probably existing between injured and relatively normal tissues are of a sufficient order of magnitude to account for the migration of leucocytes through connective tissue to a point of injury. The migration of a white cell through a gel-like medium was not then considered in detail. The data presented also demonstrated that in plasma and in serum cataphoresis of white and red cells obey the Helmhotz-Lamb equation,
